Community Involvement

This year, I started a student-operated Digital Printing class designed to give advanced students real-world experience in the design and print industry. Upper-level students apply and must be accepted into the class based on their skills and readiness.

Students work with school organizations, clubs, athletics, and local businesses to complete real design and print projects from concept through production—giving them experience with actual clients, deadlines, and expectations.

Industry Certifications

This past semester, I prepared two students to take the Adobe Certified Professional exam in Graphic Design & Illustration Using Adobe Illustrator. Both passed with outstanding scores. While two students may be a small start, their success laid the groundwork for expanding the opportunity to a larger group of students moving forward.

Marketing

Projects focused on developing custom subscription boxes and storefront concepts. Students brought their ideas to life by creating the designs and physically constructing the finished products.
